Reach Out to a Maintainer

Initiate contact with one of our community maintainers. For the quickest response, please message us directly on our official Facebook Page.

Identity & Affiliation Check

To verify that you are an active student, send the following materials to the maintainer:

  • Clear photo of your Student ID card
  • Reference Name & Student ID of an existing Event Raiders/oU1TS member
🛡️ This helps us keep the group safe, secure, and hyper-focused on student collaboration.

Save Contact & Join

Once verified, the maintainer will share their phone number and send you the group link.

CRITICAL NOTE

You must add the maintainer's phone number to your contacts before joining. WhatsApp security protocol only synchronizes and shares group chat history to contacts saved in your address book upon adding you to the group.

Student Data Protection Note: The copy of your Student ID card is used exclusively for one-time verification. It is stored securely and permanently deleted from all chats and devices immediately post-verification. We respect your privacy. For further queries, reach out via the Facebook Page.

Unofficial ECA & Institutional Future

The UITS Event Raiders operates as an "unofficial" extra-curricular activity (ECA) initiative, driven entirely by the open-source oU1TS Community to fill a critical gap in student event coordination. By actively gathering passionate students to attend, track, and compete in major national and global technical events, this guild acts as a practical proof-of-concept for collaborative learning. The overarching future plan is to use this community's compiled logbooks, structural framework, and successful track record as a robust foundation to eventually establish an official institutional counterpart within the university. Through this strategic transition, the initiative aims to institutionalize student collaboration, making event raiding an organized, recognized, and permanent pillar of the student experience.
