UITS English Enthusiasts
Building confidence and fluency through natural daily English conversations.
Our primary mission is to break down the communication barriers faced by students. Instead of viewing English as an intimidating academic chore, we focus on normalizing it as an everyday medium for regular, casual conversations.
By practice and peer engagement, members establish a suitable environment to naturally transition from mental translation to direct expression. We believe that fluency is built by doing, one conversation at a time.

Practice Plan & Logistics
How we structure our interactive speech sessions and establish long-term peer accountability.
Peer-to-Peer Accountability
The core philosophy rests on individual mindset and mutual commitment. Fluency is best cultivated through mundane, regular daily interactions.
- Partner with close friends to establish conversational hubs.
- Maintain English-only communication during selected daily routines.
- Provide constructive feedback without focusing on grammatical perfection.
Group Speaking Sessions
Members organize unstructured physical and virtual meetup groups to practice real-time discussions.
- Announce session logistics (date, time, location, topic) on the Facebook group.
- Follow a bi-weekly conversational prompt to guide the flow of dialogue.
- Invite students from other departments to cultivate diverse viewpoints.

Future Interactive Features
This section will soon integrate a database backend along with oU1TS user authentication. This will allow members to log in, propose new topics, and vote in automated weekly polls.
In the interim, we encourage you to suggest topics and host temporary, manual polls directly within our active WhatsApp and Facebook chat environments.

About the Initiative
Addressing the Communication Gap
Graduates and students at UITS often face significant communication hurdles in global professional spaces. Despite strong academic credentials, the lack of confidence and active conversation environments prevents students from reaching full potential.
UITS English Enthusiasts aims to build that missing bridge. Through structured peer learning, we convert silent study into interactive proficiency.
The oU1TS Project
oU1TS is a broader student-led technological and academic initiative designed to foster open integration, centralized login systems, and open-source tools for UITS students.
Our roadmap aligns with this vision, working towards direct technical platforms that simplify collaboration.
